Cape Cod Gutter Monkeys celebrates 5 years and counting
MASHPEE, MA--Cape Cod Gutter Monkeys is celebrating five years of cleaning, repairing, and installing Cape Cod’s gutters. Co-founders Dennis Siggins and Andy Brennan launched Cape Cod’s first full-service gutter company as a two-man operation in 2014. The company has grown to fifteen employees, seven trucks, and an award-winning marketing campaign that is recognized statewide.
“Gutter cleaning on Cape Cod was the most underserved market that I have ever seen,” said Siggins, a lifelong entrepreneur. “Andy and I have been friends for more than 40 years. We took drastically different directions throughout our careers, but began discussing the likelihood of this new startup on vacation in 2013.”
“The Cape Cod Gutter Monkeys was my escape from the corporate world,” said Brennan. “I went from suits to aluminum ladders and from complaining clients to the friendliest customers a guy could find. It has been so gratifying to watch the Cape Cod Gutter Monkeys grow and thrive with the support of people across the Cape.”
In five years, Cape Cod Gutter Monkeys has become a staple on Cape Cod. Servicing Bourne to Provincetown, as well as Martha’s Vineyard, the company's “10-Point Topside Inspection” helps homeowners keep their homes dry and safe for New England weather. Its success has expanded beyond Cape Cod, with awards four years running from the Massachusetts Broadcasters Association and a licensed partner called the South Shore Gutter Monkeys.
“The South Shore Gutter Monkeys handle from Plymouth to Hingham. They’re killing it up there; they’re well ahead of where we were at year two!” said Siggins. “We’re scheduled to open the South Coast Gutter Monkeys in early 2020, and we are expanding in other directions.”
Siggins and Brennan met in freshman year at Bentley College when housing paired them up as roommates. "We didn’t know that we’d be climbing ladders 41 years later,” said Brennan. “But we wouldn’t want it any other way. No monkeys have been harmed in the making of our commercials, Bobby Downspout is a household name, and thousands of gutters have been cared for by our team. We can’t wait to see what happens over the next five years!”
